We love the community aspect of NFTs, and we want everyone to be able to interact with the art. That is why Playground Porcupine Pals can connect with each other! Join NFTs to form a swingset, full monkeybars, high slides, tall rock climbing walls, or a whole game of hopscotch. If you're lucky, you may even get Super Rare NFTs that combine together to form a playful seasonal landscape.

Causes Close to our Hearts

Mission

30% of primary and secondary proceeds will be donated to a donor-advised fund to support causes that are close to our hearts. We are thrilled to have the Porcupine Playground Pals donor-advised fund set up with Our Change Foundation. Not only does Our Change Foundation make it easy to donate crypto proceeds, but also it provides transparency on where the donations are going.

First, every kid should have the opportunity to enjoy the physical, social, and emotional health benefits of play. So we will support organizations that create great opportunities for kids to get out and play.

Second, our family has been personally impacted by lung cancer. So we will give to organizations that support research and provide care and community to lung cancer patients, survivors, and families like ours.

We quietly launched our NiFTy Fifty-Fifty! We are fans of great digital art, especially if it’s kid-friendly, but we could do without the noise of hype-fueled marketing that over-promises. We've chosen our own path. You can now get Pals as part of our soft launch. It's like when a new restaurant opens for a small group of friends, family, and lucky passersby. It has limited hours and a pared down menu. Then word starts to spread. Mint Pals during our soft launch, and you'll have bragging rights that you discovered us first!

Announcing a new section of this website For Developers. The first article is a guide to coding a minting site for NFTs that can offer protections to creator’s royalties on secondary sales. Because the royalties for Porcupine Playground Pals go to our donor-advised fund for causes and my own kid artist, I wanted to use the latest Metaplex tools to make sure that protections were in place. The documentation had not quite caught up to the implementation, though, so I had to hurdle some pain points and wanted to pay it forward for other developers.

Today, we published our website for Playground Porcupine Pals. We started this project back in November of 2021! We can hardly believe it ourselves. We expect to soft launch our mint on Monday, May 8, 2023, so please check back soon. We put so much into this digital art collection, we hope you’ll be a Pal and get a Pal and become a part of this community.
